Kamden Kanaly, CFP®
Vice President & Relationship Manager
Kamden is a Vice President and Relationship Manager for Kanaly Trust. He coordinates and directs comprehensive and tailored wealth management programs for his clients. The process begins with a series of meetings where Kamden, along with a team of professionals, gains a thorough understanding of their full financial situation. After a careful review and analysis, he develops a strategy to implement and monitor for each client he serves.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Kamden holds a BS in Personal Financial Planning. In addition, he holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, and is a Level II Candidate for the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Kamden is also a member of Kanaly Trust’s Wealth Management Advisory Committee and Fee Committee, as well as the firm’s Investment Committee.
Kamden spent the beginning of his career in the Wealth Management Group at Amegy Bank in Houston. He began as an analyst, supporting senior advisors, and later transitioned into a wealth advisory role working with high-net-worth clients addressing their comprehensive wealth management needs. In 2009, he joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a financial advisor and later became a portfolio manager. While at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, his clientele included executives, business owners and professionals, each with their own unique sets of financial circumstances. In 2012, Kamden joined Kanaly with plans of continuing to serve wealthy Texas families who need advocates and advisors in this time of uncertainty.
Kamden is currently Chair of the Advisory Board for the Academy of Finance with the Spring Branch ISD high schools. The program’s mission is to educate high school students about the important elements of personal finance and arming them with a basic foundation of business knowledge. He also serves on the Board for the Alzheimer’s Association Houston/South East Texas Chapter, where he is a member of the Investment Committee and the Audit Committee.
