Susan is a Senior Vice President and Trust Officer with Kanaly. In her position, she manages the long-term investment strategies and personal financial programs of her clients. The personal financial program entails the development and administration of personal and family investment management, IRAs and trust accounts. Susan specializes in multi-generational wealth management issues where she incorporates a variety of planning tools.
Susan holds a bachelors degree from State University of New York. She has also earned a Trust Administration Certification from Bentley University in Boston, completed the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA). Susan completed her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM coursework at the University of Houston’s Executive Center for Graduate Studies. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner and has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years.
Before joining Kanaly in 1997, Susan was a Vice President and Trust Officer with PremierBank & Trust in Elyria, Ohio. There she managed accounts and coordinated the development of a satellite trust office. Earlier in her career, she worked with a private trust company in Coral Gables, Florida and for Bank of New England (now Bank of America) in Boston.
Susan is a member of the National and Houston chapters of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council, the Institute of Certified Bankers, the American Bankers Association and currently serves on the board of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum (HEFF).
Susan is past treasurer, audit chair and board member of the Clear Lake Area Ski Club, and is past president and treasurer of the Cinnamon Lakes Homeowners Association Board in Ohio. She has volunteered extensively as a mentor for Crossroads: Community Partnership for Youth.
