Meet Us Susan Travis

There’s nothing “par for the course” about playing golf in Texas.  Beautiful greens, hitting long drives down the middle of the fairway and making a hole in one are my perfect escapes from the city.  And you can’t beat living near a marina down in Clear Lake either. 

I also enjoy spending time on the water boating and taking in beautiful backyard sunsets with my black lab, Zeus, and two cats – all adopted from the local animal shelter.

In addition to the animal shelter, another organization that has a special meaning to me is CROSSROADS: Community Partnership for Youth.  It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent or reduce youth involvement with the juvenile justice system by fostering positive mentoring relationships between youth and volunteers.  My commitment to helping these young people gives me the opportunity to help provide them with direction and the ability to share options with them that will help better their lives. I’ve even continued with one of the youth I mentored long after her assignment was closed and am very proud of her accomplishments.

Fostering relationships with others and being able to share my knowledge –both in life and career continues to be a passion for me, especially in my role as Senior Vice President and Trust Officer with Kanaly Trust.  

For me, it’s all about the connection that is formed with you as a client. Good advice earns your respect.  I listen to you and provide you with honest answers – sometimes they will not be what you want to hear, but my commitment to you is to determine the best overall options for your concerns and together, we will find solutions.
