For over 25 years Sharon has had oversight and administration of business and corporate operations in financial services organizations. She joined Kanaly Trust in 1996 and has been a long-standing member of the company’s management team, playing a key role in its strategic direction and decision-making processes. Sharon has been an integral part of the organization, providing leadership through many different market environments and business cycles. Her oversight of the development of Kanaly’s fine staff of professionals is an important priority for her, as well as for the company. Kanaly Trust’s corporate culture dictates that maintaining a highly competent group of associates ensures the company will remain client-centered, providing the continuity in service it is well known for.
In Sharon’s current position as Chief Operating Officer she oversees all departments within the company. She focuses on optimizing day-to-day operations, managing strategic initiatives and establishing process improvements. Her top priority is the overall development, design and improvement of client service at the company. Kanaly Trust believes that its people and their expertise are its most valuable resource and serving clients is its top priority.
Since joining Kanaly, Sharon earned a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through her long association with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is a member of HR Houston and attended the Center for Creative Leadership Human Resource Management Program.
Sharon is a member of the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston & South Texas, and serves on the organization's Executive Committee and is chair of the Membership Committee. Sharon is an Ambassador for the world renowned Texas Children's Hospital, a first-ever philanthropic support group that spans the entire mission of Texas Children's. She is currently a member of Texas Wall Street Women an exclusive peer network of professional women in Texas committed to making a difference in their community through philanthropic endeavors and educational forums.
