Scott is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with Kanaly. He develops and implements objective personal financial programs for clients after gaining a thorough understanding of their full financial picture. Scott does this through a series of interactive, personal meetings with his clients. The end result is a financial program encompassing every aspect of a client’s situation that has an impact, or potential impact, on their financial lives. The process begins with a comprehensive investment portfolio review and detailed recommendations. It then incorporates cash flow, tax planning, estate planning, employee benefits, insurance and education planning. Scott continues to be involved with the ongoing maintenance of the program after it has been implemented. This ensures continuity, and that personal or financial changes do not alter long-term goals and financial security.
After earning a BA in Economics from Texas A&M University, Scott went on to earn his MBA from the University of Houston. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner.
Scott joined Kanaly as a portfolio manager in September 2000, focusing on large capitalization growth stocks. After spending over two years in Kanaly’s investment department, he moved into his current role as a personal financial advisor.
Scott was named to Medical Economics 150 Best Financial Advisers for Doctors list in 2008 and 2009. He has also been named to the FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth ManagerSM list for 2009, published in the September, 2009 issue of Texas Monthly. He sits on the Board of Directors of River Oaks Baptist School, is a member of the CFA Institute and is past president of the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Houston. Scott is also a member of Kanaly Trust’s Investment Committee.
