Mike Conway is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with Kanaly Trust. He directs the development and implementation of Kanaly’s Personal Financial ProgramTM for clients. This process is carried out through a series of meetings and discussions where Mike and his team gain a thorough understanding of a client’s personal financial situation. The financial program incorporates strategies that address all facets of personal finance. It begins with a comprehensive portfolio review and detailed recommendations. It also encompasses cash flow, tax and estate planning, employee benefits, insurance and education planning.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Mike holds a BBA in Finance and Real Estate. He earned a Financial Advisor’s Certification from the Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and also attended the Texas Bankers Association Regional Trust School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Mike joined Kanaly in 2004, and has over 30 years of experience in finance and corporate management. Before coming to Kanaly, Mike headed up the Business Transition Services Division for Compass Bank, where he specialized in the planning and implementation of succession plans and exit strategies for high-net-worth business owners. Prior to joining Compass, Mike was a Vice President with a financial planning and asset management firm in Houston. He also held the position of Vice President with a merchant banking firm in Houston, which merged private companies with simultaneous public offerings. Mike has also worked in various marketing and senior management capacities in the oil service industry.
As an active member of the Houston community, Mike holds several leadership roles. He is on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Houston, is a member of the Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas Board of Directors and currently serves as president of the Episcopal High School Dads Club. Mike formerly served on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association, Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter.
