Joel Scott is a Portfolio Manager with Kanaly Trust. He is responsible for managing clients’ diversified investments, working closely with individuals to ensure their portfolios best suit their lifestyle needs and personal risk tolerances.
Joel believes that today’s volatile market environment requires a diversified portfolio that allocates across equity, fixed income and alternative asset classes. As a member of Kanaly’s Investment Committee, he works with the Chief Investment Officer on developing model portfolio asset allocations and is actively involved in the ongoing due diligence process of all investment managers.
Joel has been in the financial services industry since 2001. Before joining Kanaly, he served as Investment Analyst at an independent wealth management organization, where his duties included the creation and monitoring of client investment allocations as well as ongoing research on current and potential investment managers. Joel served on the investment committee and also authored the company’s monthly investment commentary.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Joel holds a BS in Personal Financial Planning. He is a Level II Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst candidate, as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant.
