Meet Us James Shelton

When I’m not at work or reeling in a few fish with the kids down in Galveston, you’ll find me at charity events, parties and other establishments around town. For more than four years, some close friends and I have exchanged our business suits for western attire a few weekends a month and enjoy sharing our passion for country music in the James Shelton Band. While I do play the guitar, taking the lead on vocals is my main gig. 

Learning new cover songs and writing a few originals of our own keeps our act new and exciting. Staying on top of the latest trends is something I take seriously not only with my hobby, but with my approach in supporting individual client needs in my work. 

As I take on my new role as Chief Investment Officer at Kanaly Trust this year, I’ll be in tune with the changes in ongoing global market trends and working toward developing multiple investment capabilities for our clients.
